Observations

As posted earlier, prepare for Dims and Rethugs to kick up the rhetoric on deficit fear mongering.  And don’t ever forget that it could have all been avoided had the Dems passed a budget and raised the debt ceiling when they were in control…..and remember that they DID NOT.

Instead, they will use this manufactured problem to push for cuts to all manner of social programs, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are on the hit list, Obama put them on the table during the last ‘grand bargain’ and they were only spared because the Republicans wouldn’t take the deal.  But they are already back on the table; and every other day I hear some stupid, lying politician or some stupid, lying political pundit lamenting about the deficit and how they haven’t implemented the ridiculously dangerous Simpson/Bowles cat food commission’s plans.  David Cay Johnston wrote a brilliant article that everyone should read:  Social Security is NOT going broke please read this article and send it to anyone you believe would benefit from hearing some truth as opposed to corporate media propaganda.

On Medicare and Medicaid it is quite simple.  We need to raise taxes on rich folks.  Period.  And believe me, they can afford it.  Mitt Romney’s tax records prove that he pays an effective tax rate of about 15% on his fortune, while working class people pay around 25% on average with the tax burden signficantly carried by the working class in this country.  And yet somehow, someway, it is always the rich folks in the U.S. whining and crying about the taxman.

If that wasn’t bad enough; here is a statistic worth spreading around.  It would take the average worker 244 years of full time employment  to make what the average CEO makes in just one year.   The income inequality in this country has reached preposterous levels, it is truly a sick joke and a slap in the face to every working class citizen of the U.S.

I was watching the Dylan Ratigan show today, and I would like to take this opportunity to say to Dylan Ratigan, Krystal Ball, Torre and the other guy on the panel the following:  You suck and you are lying to your viewers, and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Ratigan had the nerve to flash a poll citing that 52% of Americans want a 3rd party then proceeded to shill for the Democrats towing the old ‘lesser evil’ line.   What joke Ratigan is. Then Krystal Ball chimed in that people have to make change, suggesting that it’s the people’s fault that Dems are backstabbing, spineless, money grubbing Wall Street whores.   It made me sick, that’s why I mentioned it on this post.

My advice, adopt the Scorched Earth Doctrine and go third party progressive, go third party progressive  now while we still have a chance.   As Funkadelic would say, Let’s take it to the stage suckers!
